Its purpose is the reduction of the aeolian vibration on the conductor. It consists of a messenger cable with two different weights at its ends and a clamp to be fitted onto the cable.
Conductors: For use on conductors ACSR, AAC, AAAC, ACAR types, earth wire and fiber optic cables.
Advantages: The damper with large and small weights can achieve great power dissipation and frequency response performance than “symmetrical weight” Stockbridge damper designs.
